EMDR Therapist for Anxiety and Panic Attacks

Natalia Cortez

I work with teens and adults who carry heavy emotions from past wounds and want to find a different way to relate to their experiences. Together, we'll work through patterns that keep you stuck so you can feel calmer, more grounded, and more like yourself

EMDR Therapy for Trauma in Las Vegas

Past wounds have a way of showing up in the present. A tone of voice, a certain smell, or a familiar time of year can send your heart racing or make you want to shut down completely. You may have talked about what happened, and you may even understand why you react the way you do. But understanding it hasn't changed how heavy it feels.

Trauma isn't always one big event. For many teens and adults, it's years of smaller experiences, such as growing up in an unpredictable home, being bullied or left out at school, or being in relationships where you had to stay on guard. When those experiences pile up, it can become hard to trust other people, and sometimes even harder to trust yourself.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) helps your brain reprocess memories that feel "stuck," so you can relate to your experiences differently and they start to feel like part of your past rather than something you're still living through. You don't have to retell every painful detail for EMDR to work. In fact, you don’t have to share much about your trauma out loud in order to feel better. Before we process anything, we'll focus on building trust and grounding skills, so that when discomfort comes up, you'll have the support and tools to move through it instead of around it.

Therapy for ADHD in Las Vegas

From the outside, you might look like you have it all together. On the inside, you're over-preparing, double-checking, staying up late to catch up, and quietly bracing for the moment you drop the ball. For many teens and adults with ADHD, anxiety isn't separate from ADHD. It's what happens after years of working overtime to keep up in classrooms, workplaces, and families.

Maybe you're a teen who keeps hearing that you're "so smart if you'd just apply yourself." Maybe you're an adult who received an ADHD diagnosis later in life and are now looking back at years of being called careless or lazy. Either way, criticism might still hit harder than it should, and a single mistake can send you spiraling.

Growth often means leaning into discomfort, like trying something new without a perfect plan or letting yourself be seen as you are. Each time you do, you're building resilience that comes from understanding yourself, not from pushing harder. When it's helpful, EMDR can be used to process painful memories of criticism and rejection so they stop shaping how you see yourself today.

Therapy for Depression in Las Vegas

Depression doesn't always look like sadness. Sometimes it looks like numbness, going through the motions, or feeling like you're watching your life from a distance. You might still be showing up for school, work, and the people you love, but everything takes more effort than it used to, and the things that once brought you joy feel flat.

For many of the people I work with, depression shows up after long stretches in survival mode. When your nervous system has been on high alert for too long, it can eventually shut down as a way to protect you. That shutdown isn't a personal failure; it's your body doing what it learned to do in harsh conditions.

Here in the desert, some of the most beautiful things grow in the toughest places. Healing can work the same way. Therapy with me is a space to slow down, get curious about what's underneath the heaviness, and take small, steps toward reconnecting with what matters. With time and support, you can bloom, not because life suddenly gets easy, but because you've grown stronger roots.

Who I am, and how I got here:

I understand the experience of feeling all alone and that no one “gets” you. I pursued this career after I had a therapist who made me feel seen, heard, and understood; and I hoped to do that for other people.

As the eldest daughter in a Latin-American household, I have learned that using your voice for yourself is just as important as using it for others. With that experience, I am passionate about helping individuals stuck in unhealthy patterns and relationships to begin living a life that genuinely serves them, and balances their loved ones along the way.

How I help:

I believe we are where we come from, and that we decide who we are going to be in the future based on our past and our present combined. My approach to therapy includes gaining a deep understanding of who you are based on your experiences, what those ingrained in you, and examining how those beliefs and patterns show up in your life. I use a combination of modalities (including EMDR, CBT, DBT, IFS, EFT) based on what a client needs, but for everyone I focus on your relationship with your emotions (yes, you get to have one!) and how this relationship impacts your life.

Off the clock:

When I don’t have my “therapist hat” on, you can find me listening to music, diamond-art painting, diving into fantasy-novels and TV shows, or spending time with family and friends. I’m also dreaming of being at the beach, and feeling the ocean waves lapping at my feet
