Living with ADHD in Las Vegas: Finding Support That Actually Fits
If you’ve been living in Las Vegas and wondering whether ADHD is the reason behind the chaos in your calendar, the three forgotten coffees on your desk, or the endless shame-spiral of procrastination–you’ve come to the right place! You’re not alone, and you’re not broken.
At Wandering Pine Wellness, we work with ADHDers in Las Vegas and across Nevada who are navigating life with brains that weren’t built for rigid systems or 9–5 expectations. Whether you’re newly diagnosed, undiagnosed, or self-identifying, or years into managing ADHD, this blog post is for you.
What ADHD Really Looks Like in Adults
It’s not just about distraction or forgetting where you parked. Adult ADHD can look like:
Getting overwhelmed by small tasks
Feeling chronically behind, no matter how hard you try
Struggling to follow through on goals, even ones you care about
Difficulty regulating emotions
Difficulty with task initiating or task-switching
Living in a state of "too much" or "not enough"
Many adults (especially women and people of color) were overlooked by traditional ADHD screenings or told they were “just anxious.” ADHD doesn’t always look like bouncing off the walls. Sometimes it looks like perfectionism, people-pleasing, and mental exhaustion.
What It’s Like to Work With an ADHD Therapist in Las Vegas
ADHD therapy isn’t about fixing you. It’s about supporting you in a way that works with your brain instead of against it.
At Wandering Pine Wellness, we take a neurodiversity-affirming approach to ADHD therapy. That means:
You can fidget in session (we probably are, too)
We’ll troubleshoot systems that work for you, not for some imaginary productivity standard
We recognize the emotional side of ADHD, like shame, burnout, and feeling like you’re never doing “enough”
If you’ve internalized messages like “I’m lazy” or “I should have figured this out by now,” we’ll work together to untangle those beliefs
ADHD Testing in Las Vegas (And Yes, Self-Diagnosis Is Valid)
Maybe you’re not sure if what you’re experiencing is ADHD, or you’ve been resonating with ADHD content online but haven’t gotten a formal diagnosis. First, know this: neurodiversity-affirming care recognizes that self-diagnosis is valid. Testing isn’t accessible or affordable to everyone, and we want to support you at whatever step of this journey you’re at.
That said, if you want a formal ADHD assessment, we offer testing for adults right here in Las Vegas. You can schedule it as a one-time service, or we can continue with ongoing therapy afterward. We’re flexible, and it’s completely up to you!

Local ADHD Support Resources in Las Vegas
Beyond therapy, ADHDers in Las Vegas may benefit from other supports:
Body-doubling workspaces: Try a virtual co-working space like Focusmate, or partner with a friend at a local coffee shop. Disclaimer– the coffee scene here is limited.
ADHD-friendly medical providers: We’re happy to refer you to psychiatrists and prescribers who understand ADHD in adults and will work with you instead of against you.
Community events & support groups: While Las Vegas may not be full of formal ADHD meetups (yet), ADHD often overlaps with chronic medical conditions, and you may connect with other chronically ill and ND folks nearby.
What Makes Wandering Pine Wellness Different?
We’re not just checking boxes or trying to “manage symptoms.” We know that ADHD isn’t a character flaw; it’s a different wiring. Our Las Vegas therapists work with you to:
Understand your strengths and support needs
Build sustainable systems that support executive functioning
Address the impact of trauma or shame on your ADHD experience
Use modalities like EMDR to work through stuck beliefs (if you’re interested)
Therapy here doesn’t look like lectures or rigid plans. It looks like real conversations, compassionate support, and a bunch of fidgets. We won’t shame you for being “inconsistent,” and we certainly won’t call you “lazy.”

Frequently Asked Questions About ADHD Therapy in Las Vegas
Do I need an official diagnosis to start ADHD therapy?
Nope. A formal diagnosis is not required to begin therapy with us. If you suspect you’re ADHD, we believe you. We welcome self-identified ADHDers and are happy to support you, with or without a diagnosis.
If you’re interested in testing, we do offer adult ADHD assessments. Learn more about the process here →
What if I’ve tried therapy before and it didn’t help?
That’s more common than you think, and it doesn’t mean you failed. It probably just means you weren’t supported in a way that made sense for your brain. ADHD therapy should feel like a space where your needs are understood, not pathologized or dismissed. We focus on building systems that actually work for you and exploring the deeper beliefs that might be holding you back.
Do you offer virtual ADHD therapy?
Yes! We offer online therapy for ADHD clients throughout Nevada, Washington, and Colorado. Telehealth can be a great fit for ADHDers. You don’t have to commute, you can do your session in a place that’s comfortable for you, you’ll worry less about being on time [without a commute], and you can show up in your cozy clothes–like the sweatshirt that you bought in 3 different colors because it’s so comfy.
Can you help me decide if I should try ADHD medication?
While we don’t prescribe medication, we can definitely support you in exploring whether medication feels like the right option. We’re happy to refer you to ADHD-informed prescribers in the Las Vegas area and can collaborate with your medical team if you’re already on meds. We’ll talk about what to look for in a prescriber, and help you navigate insurance issues.
