Las Vegas EMDR Therapist

Lexi Thomas

I help queer and neurodivergent teens, young adults, and couples navigate identity, life transitions, and new diagnoses. Together, we’ll navigate self-discovery, trauma, and anxiety so you can show up authentically in your relationships and everyday life.

Therapy for Teens and Young Adults in Las Vegas

Are you a teen or young adult in Las Vegas navigating relationships, identity, life transitions, or new mental health diagnoses? You're not alone, and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself. EMDR therapy, combined with other evidence-based approaches, can help you process past hurt, reduce emotional overwhelm, and move toward healing.

I’m Lexi Thomas (she/her), a therapist serving clients in Las Vegas and across Nevada. I specialize in supporting neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ folks, especially those who are managing the challenges of major life transitions, questions of identity, and the effects of past trauma. Using EMDR, I help clients safely access and heal from distressing memories, reduce intense emotional distress, and reclaim a greater sense of calm and control.

I’m passionate about helping neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ individuals and couples feel safe enough to explore deep topics, express their emotions, and develop a deeper sense of self without the pressure to mask or meet anyone else’s expectations.

Whether you're struggling with anxiety, feeling disconnected, or simply trying to make sense of it all, I offer a therapeutic space where you can show up as yourself.

Therapy That Centers Your Experience

High school and college are full of change and uncertainty. From academic pressure and social stress to family dynamics and questions of identity, it’s a lot to carry. Many of the clients I work with feel like they’re constantly “on,” performing for others while silently struggling with anxiety, sadness, or burnout.

In therapy, you don’t need to have all the answers. Together, we’ll explore what’s going on beneath the surface and develop tools that actually work for your brain, your body, and your life.

Some of the most common reasons Las Vegas teens start therapy with me include:

  • Feeling overwhelmed by school, friendships, or expectations

  • Difficulty managing emotions, sleep, or routines

  • Exploring gender identity or sexual orientation

  • Dealing with anxiety, depression, and overwhelm

  • Wanting to improve communication and boundaries at home or school

My Approach as a Therapist

I work from a person-centered, trauma-informed, and affirming framework. My goal is to walk alongside you as you discover what parts of you want to be healed, and find strategies and supports that actually work for your brain and body.

  • Approaches: EMDR, DBT, CBT

  • Skills & focus areas: emotional regulation, self-compassion, identity work, executive functioning

  • I believe that healing looks different for everyone, especially when neurodivergence and queer identity are involved. I strive to build safety, trust, and affirmation so you can bring your true self into each session.

In-Person & Online Therapy for Teens and Young Adults in Las Vegas

I offer therapy sessions in our Summerlin office and online for clients throughout Nevada. Whether you’re a parent looking for support for your teen or a young adult exploring therapy for the first time, I’m here to help.

Who I am, and how I got here:

I have always enjoyed the human mind, how it works, and how we can change and shape it. My path into counseling grew out of a passion for helping others make sense of their experiences, especially those navigating neurodivergence, identity development, and major life transitions. Along the way, I’ve worked with many incredible people. I most often work with queer teens, young adults, and new parents. I’ve learned that healing looks different for everyone, and that safety and affirmation are essential for growth.

Who I help:

I work with queer and neurodivergent individuals and couples who are facing anxiety, depression, trauma, or adjusting to new or suspected diagnoses like ADHD or Autism. I also love supporting new moms navigating postpartum shifts. Whether you’re exploring your identity, building healthier relationships, or working through past experiences, I strive to create a space where you feel seen, safe, and supported.

How I help:

Therapy with me is a space where you don’t have to mask or filter who you are. My style is warm, curious, and client-centered. I believe we are the experts of ourselves, and my goal is to guide clients in finding the strength and tools to utilize that expertise. I use a trauma-informed approach, blending DBT and CBT skills to help you manage overwhelm, improve emotional regulation, and build confidence as you move through life’s challenges.

Off the clock:

When I am not in sessions, I am usually spending time with my family. My favorite activities vary depending on the season. I enjoy spending time outside, often wishing I was at the beach. I love to sit down with a good book and an iced coffee. When it's too cold outside, you can find me binge watching a new show under a warm blanket. :)"
