Position Description:

Full-Time Clinician 5 - Lead Therapist

Compensation: $75,000 to $93,000 annually


Position Overview: Wandering Pine Wellness is seeking a Lead Clinician. This is a full-time, fully licensed Lead Therapist role responsible for managing a full outpatient caseload while providing clinical support to Clinicians 1 and 2. This role also involves providing mentorship to Clinician 3s. Clinicians in this role demonstrate advanced clinical judgment, strong leadership skills, and the ability to support both clients and clinicians through complex situations. (32 to 40 hours weekly). We are currently looking for CPC and LMFT Leads.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site and telehealth psychotherapy services independently

  • Maintain a full outpatient caseload while meeting productivity expectations

  • Provide clinical support and mentorship to Clinician 1 and Clinician 2 therapists

  • Offer consultation and support to Clinician 3 and Clinician 4 therapists as needed

  • Use evidence-based, clinically appropriate treatment approaches

  • Complete required clinical documentation independently

  • Support clients with billing and scheduling questions in accordance with practice policies

  • Model and teach effective communication strategies for difficult client conversations

  • Attend required meetings, trainings, and supervision responsibilities

  • Practice in a professional, ethical, and collaborative manner

  • Perform other duties appropriate to the role

Clinical Competencies

  • Ability to manage a full outpatient caseload independently

  • Ability to complete session notes within allotted documentation time

  • Ability to complete treatment plans and discharge summaries independently

  • Ability to diagnose clients (in accordance with DSM-5-TR guidelines) without supervision

  • Advanced use of evidence-based clinical skills

  • Ability to navigate difficult conversations with clients regarding billing, scheduling, and policy adherence. Ability to teach and support other clinicians in having those conversations effectively

  • Completion of at least one of the following: EMDRIA Basic EMDR Training, EFT Core Skills, Gottman Level 1, or DBT Certification

  • Demonstrated leadership, supervision, and mentorship skills

Is this a 1099 role of w2 position?

This is a W2 role with full benefits included. 

Will you panel me with insurance?

Yes.

Is this virtual or in-person?

This is a hybrid position, with a minimum of three days/week in office required.

to work on evenings or weekends?

You can create your own schedule. You may need to respond to emergencies that arise with your supervisees and their caseload.

Can I keep my private practice while I work for you?

We understand that it takes time to build a caseload, and don’t want your finances to suffer with the wait time. Because of this, we allow you to keep your practice open for the first 12 weeks of your employment. At that time, you may then choose to transfer your clients to Wandering Pine or another agency. You may not keep your private practice open (or work with another agency) once you’ve hit the 12-week mark.

What if I don’t meet all of the minimum qualifications?

We will only review applications that meet the minimum requirements.

Is there a minimum number of clients that I’m required to see?

You will be required to perform 24 billable hours weekly.
